finally got back

Been sooo busy that I haven't had time to get on here for e.v.e.r.
Anyway finally got this year's Panto done & dusted so (hopefully) will have time for ME for a change. Ady was a Belly Dancer (will have to try to post pics) amongst other parts. He was also an Imperial Guard and in the crowd scenes. I kept out of it and just made the stage curtains and helped behind the bar.
After last week's snow it's barely stopped raining since Sat so mud is up above my wellie booties - again. Last night we sorted out the surplus cockerals to fatten for the freezer.
Tonight I'm hoping to sort out the Xmas cards, get them written and posted.

Ho! Hum!

Well! Today has been really exciting - Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a variety of reasons I didn't sleep well.
Firstly I was over-tired after a few hectic days. That always affects my sleep pattern.
Secondly there was an awful lot of bumping and banging in the attic bed-room. I thought a cat had got up the Bread Oven roof and in through the window. More of this in a couple of sentences.
Thirdly the alarm went off at 2a.m for Ady to get up. He went off to Paris about 3a.m.
Fourthly the dogs started barking about 5 and the bumps and bangs were getting worse so I finally got up to chase the cat out. Only to find the rats that had been evicted from the barns had moved in here.
No way was I having them as squatters so, in just my dressing gown, I toddled off to get a couple of ferrets and spent a pleasant (???) half hour keeping an eye on them. Normally good fun watching them working but at 5a.m.?
You must be joking.
Decided I may as well feed the animals now that I was up so finally got back to bed and sleep just after 6.30. Slept through the alarm and woke at 9.15
After that the day dropped back into it's normal pattern.
Tidied the living room/kitchen and swept the floor.
Checked the emails and replied to any that needed answering.
Had b/fast.
Hung out the washing. (that's just reminded me that I'll have to bring it back in before it turns stormy)
Tidied the Cave.
Answered a couple of phone calls from my mates Barbara and Ruth. That took care of at least an hour, if not longer.
Phoned the Mairie at La Sout to book in for the Vide Grenier on Sat. Got to be there about 6a.m. UGH!!!!!!!!!!! Another early morning.
Tried phoning the Mairie to book in for the Vide Grenier on Sun but couldn't get any answer.
Started tidying the attic bed-room
and now I'm waiting for Ady to get home.
I think I'll fetch in the washing and get back upstairs for a while before I give the dogs a run.
